MyLikes Inc. 


MyLikes Inc. paved the way for social media marketing (as recognized by Microsoft Research Review). I joined in 2011 before influencers was an industry term and before monetization was built in to social media platforms and was trained by ex-Googlers

I started as an intern on the debut product where advetisors can register their products and creators can choose products to post about and get paid for traffic. 

Within 2 years I was promoted to lead front-end engineer for the launch of of Likes.com, a product were creators can publish their own custom monetizable website with gallery posts they author themselves to resonate with their audience. 

With MyLikes served content reaching hundreds of millions of users, top publishers made $50,000 a month. In 2017, the company was aquired by Uber and rebranded as PostIntelligence.

Generate a website with niche content and start earning revenue in minutes!
This way, creator’s are not limited to posting only about advetisor products. Instead, they can post niche content for their audiences. We put their conent on a custom site  optimized for monetization and virality.  

I developed:
  • Content creator to generate custom galleries, lists, and quizzes.
  • CMS Portal for reviewing content, analytics, and earnings.
  • Website templates for the home page (including font, colors, and favicon generation)
  • MySQL Database and API for storing users’ associated gallery posts and their associated media and tags.
  • Queries for “Popular” and “Recent” posts lists on the home page and “Related” posts for the gallery pages.
  • A/B testing to optimize navigation, share, and ad  placement for click through rate and impressions.

Content Management System (Admin) - Creators log in to add content to their site and review performance and earnings.

A social media website for sharing posts and meeting people.

I developed:
  • Ranking algorithms and API for feed and friend suggestions.
  • UX Engineering for every tab
  • Websocket integration to update online status, comments, new posts, and notifications.
  • Email templating, queing and bundling.
  • MySQL database structure for users, posts, tags, comments, messages, etc.
  • Facebook OAuth registration
  • A/B tests on UX/UI to drive registration, comments, and friend requests


Dynamic Feed - updates with new posts and comments, and algorithms finetuning trending content with recent content based on user interest.
Friends Tab -  includes suggested friends based on shared interest and recent activity.
